Refund & Cancellation Policy

At PortraitArtist.in, every portrait painting is a handmade artwork created specifically for each customer. Because every painting is customized from customer photos, our refund and cancellation policy is slightly different from regular products.

Please read the following policy carefully before placing an order.

  1. Order Confirmation

An order is considered confirmed once the customer agrees to the order details and makes the required advance payment (if applicable).

Order details may include:

  • painting size
    • number of subjects
    • style or medium
    • delivery details
  1. Cancellation Policy

Orders can be cancelled only before the artwork process has started.

If cancellation is requested before work begins, the customer may receive a refund of the advance amount after deducting any applicable transaction charges.

Once the painting work has started, the order cannot be cancelled, because the artwork is custom made.

  1. Refund Policy

Since portrait paintings are personalized handmade artworks created from customer photos, refunds are generally not applicable once the artwork has been completed.

However, refunds may be considered in the following situations:

  • The order cannot be completed due to unavoidable circumstances
    • The artwork is damaged during shipping

Refund decisions are made at our discretion after reviewing the issue.

  1. Revision Policy

Customer satisfaction is important to us.

Before finalizing the artwork, we may share a preview or progress image (when applicable). Minor revisions may be possible at this stage.

However, major changes such as:

  • changing the reference photo
    • adding new subjects
    • changing the size or concept

may not be possible once the artwork process has begun.

  1. Damaged Artwork During Delivery

If the artwork is damaged during shipping, please inform us within 48 hours of delivery and share clear photos of the damage.

We will review the issue and may offer:

  • repair or replacement
    • partial refund (if applicable)
  1. Delivery Delays

Portrait paintings are handmade and require time to complete.

While we try our best to deliver within the estimated timeframe, delays may occur due to:

  • artwork complexity
    • high order volume
    • shipping delays

Such delays do not qualify for refunds.
